We had an excellent experience with American Pools. From start to finish, the team was responsive, professional, and easy to work with.

A special thank-you to Troy and Hunter for their outstanding service. Troy was extremely helpful in getting everything coordinated, and Hunter handled the pool pump replacement quickly and efficiently. We truly appreciated how responsive they both were and how quickly the issue was resolved.

The communication, professionalism, and follow-through were excellent. We are very pleased with the service we received and would definitely recommend American Pools to anyone looking for reliable and professional pool service.

I'm a retired builder of custom homes. I wished I had this company when I installed pools in my homes. Very professional in all aspects of the project. Finished on time and on budget. Explained in detail, the type of product they are using, and tutored me on how to keep it looking like new. I recommend highly recommend them for all your pool needs.

Jamie did an amazing job cleaning our pool! He was thorough, professional, and so kind throughout the visit. He even took the time to love on our dogs, which meant a lot to us. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about the people he helps. We’re so grateful and would highly recommend him!

I love my first pool installed by American Pools and Spa. I received a lot of assistance and recommendations during the design process. I’ve had a lot of amazing care from their warranty team and technicians.

The issues I’ve had has been with some of the sub contractors. For example, the installers of our pool lanai screen enclosure. Every panel has blown off in less than 4 years. I’ve also had some issues with the finishing/plaster sub contractor where a floor line was filled with plaster and instruments left inside my equipment that shouldn’t have been. They also didn’t keep the place clean when doing the repair, but when I communicated the issue it was addressed reasonably. I also had an issue with the pool school rep initially assigned in 2022, but that may have been a Viera Builders decision. I’ve also had to replace my salt chlorinator 3 times. Luckily an improved model has come out and provided by Pentair. The last issue that I’ve had is with Pentair’s pool lights and bubbler. The bubbler and light went bad after 2 1/2 years and the wall lights went out after 3 years. They’re so expensive to replace and not reliable.

My saving grace has been the American Pools and Spa team, with the All-star being Mr. Troy Girdner when we had any warranty related items to address. He is so responsive to emails and calls. I wouldn’t have enjoyed my experience with American Pools and Spa without him. I’ve heard of some horror stories when it comes to pool builds and I assure you American Pools and Spa means business.

Update (September, 2026) dropped two stars, leaky roof getting worse!
Timeline -
Jan, 2024: Pool with enclosure completed
Mar, 2024: Enclosure leaks every time it rains, water running down side of the house, splashing furniture under the roof. Warranty guy came out and attempted to repair it, but ultimately was unsuccessful
Nov, 2025: reached out to American Pools, told them that the leak was getting worse. They told me that I had waited too long, and it was my problem, not theirs.
Sep, 2026, the leak is now 10x worse every time it rains.

The pool is great, but I hate how everything under their roof gets wet with splashing water every time it rains.
Life is busy, and I wish that I had reached out to them sooner, but now every time I see the pool, I think about the growing leak. Not a great experience.

See my video of the ever-growing problem.

Update (November, 2025) - Jamie From the warranty department came out today to assist me with some things. He not only answered all of my concerns to my total satisfaction, but he also went above and beyond by inspecting every part of my pool. He found and replaced a part (PVR) that was in need of replacement that I was unaware of.

Really appreciate the great service!

Love my new pool with enclosure and solar panels

Worth the cost to have it done by professionals who followed every step meticulously and always included inspections by the county

This gives me great peace of mind that my pool will be enjoyed for many years to come

Update

Today my salt cell was replaced because the original Pentair had gone bad.

American Pools came out and replaced it for charge and even noticed that the filter had not been bolted down and so they took care of that while they were here

Many thanks to Anthony and the warranty repair team

From our first meeting with Jonas through every phase of construction, American Pool & Spa has been amazing to work with. Their communication has been exceptional, and every step of the project has been thoroughly documented and explained. Dawn, our project coordinator, has been wonderful about providing timely follow-up and keeping us informed as the project progresses.
They have truly exceeded our expectations. While our pool is now entering the final phase, we can already see that it is going to be amazing! Any question or concern we’ve had has been addressed immediately and professionally. It has genuinely been a pleasure, and so much fun to watch our vision come to life. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend American Pool & Spa!
