American Pools & Spas is proud to be recognized with an Eagle Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Excellence in Construction Awards. The honor celebrates exceptional craftsmanship and innovation, and our winning project — AquaBay Waterpark at Villatel Orlando Resort — showcases the creativity and expertise that define our work.
Located in Orlando, Florida, AquaBay Waterpark is a centerpiece of the Villatel Orlando Resort — a destination designed for family fun, luxury, and relaxation. American Pools & Spas delivered a complex, multi-acre water feature package that transforms the resort into a true aquatic playground.
Our project team — Sam Brown, Mark Rothermel, John Kelley, Kyle Stanton, and John Prano — oversaw every phase of design and construction, ensuring precision, safety, and unmatched guest appeal.
Key Project Features:
- Amenity Pool (5,000 sq. ft.): Complete with in-water lounge areas and resort-style seating.
- Lazy River (6,900 sq. ft.): Meandering through lush tropical landscaping, offering a relaxing float experience.
- Custom Water Slides: Four slides designed to thrill guests of all ages.
- Interactive Splash Pad: Featuring sprays, water cannons, and climbing features for children.
- Concrete Paver Deck (50,000 sq. ft.): Engineered for durability, heat resistance, and long-lasting beauty.
