🏆 Sunshine Classic Golf Tournament Raises $46,830 in Memory of Kim Owens
This past May, we had the honor of hosting the Sunshine Classic Golf Tournament at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, Florida — a day filled with community, camaraderie, and compassion.
The tournament was held in memory of our beloved colleague, Kim Owens, who sadly passed away due to complications from Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH), a rare and life-threatening blood disease.
Through the incredible support of our sponsors, players, and community, we raised an outstanding $46,830 for the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF).
We were also honored to welcome Azalea Candelaria, Senior Director of Development at AAMDSIF, to our APS location, where she personally received the donation check on behalf of the foundation. Her presence underscored how these funds will directly support patient programs, educational outreach, and vital research.
